This is your standard set, I wouldn't substitute 7.png or 4.png for anything.

4.png - A must have. Remember, you can use this offensively but doing so can put you out of position and leave you with no escape so be aware of who is where.

7.png - The main ADC spell to pair with 4.png. Great when dueling enemies or surviving against long range abilities. It can also speed you up if you are getting ganked. Importantly, this not only works on yourself but it can on an ally that is close to you (mainly your support) and help keep them alive in lane.

This is your standard set, I would not make any changes apart from the Glyphs. If you wish, you can exchange some (I would not recommend all) Magic Resist for flat Attack Speed. This will boost your damage overall but make you weaker in lane against ability harass and later on in team fights. 

You can also go for either flat CDR or CDR per level, in either case you would only take 6 to help hit the 40% cap.

The masteries for Ashe can vary depending on your matchup and who is your support but I generally run the masteries I have above. Apart from this there are some masteries where they are the only choice and these are listed below:
  • 6111.png Fury
  • 6151.png Battering Blows
  • 6312.png Savagery
  • 6322.png Secret Stash
  • 6343.png Dangerous Game 
  • 6211.png Recovery
  • 6241.png Insight

I highly suggest making one page for Taliyah and changing it each out depending on the above factors. You will always have 18 points in Ferocity but the other 12 points depends on what you want. For example, if we take 12 in Cunning, we get easier last hitting and potentially better teamfight. 12 in Resolve will give you more tankiness and faster access to your Summoner Spells. 

If you are unsure about which to take in certain row below is a list of viable alternatives:
  • 6122.png Feast for more sustain and less aggression.
  • 6134.png Natural Talent for pure damage over sustain.
  • 6223.png Tough Skin if you expect to be consistently harassed or trading often.
  • 6232.png Veteran Scars if your support does not heal or provide shields.

Clean Cuts / Lovers Leap (Passive)

  • After casting an ability, Xayah's next 3 basic attack pierce all enemies in its path
  • The main target takes 100% while others take 50%
  • A feather will be left on the ground at her maximum attack range and disappears after 6 seconds
  • Up to 5 empowered attacks can be stored (seen under your HP/Mana bar)
  • If playing with 497.png you can use Lovers Leap. If either Rakan or Xayah are recalling the other can sync their recall by standing next to each other and activating their own. They will return to base at the same time.

Double Daggers (Q)

  • After a small windup, Xayah fires two daggers in a straight line dealing physical damage
  • This is reduced by 50% after the first enemy is hit
  • 2 feathers will be left on the ground at maximum range

Deadly Plumage (W)

  • When activated, Xayah gains bonus attack speed and damage on attacks
  • She also gains 30% movement speed for 1.5 seconds after attacking a champion
  • This lasts for 4 seconds
  • If playing with 497.png and he is nearby, he will also gain Deadly Plumage

Bladecaller (E)

  • Xayah recalls all feathers to her dealing physical damage
  • The damage can be increased by critical strike modifiers
  • Feathers deals 10% reduced damage to the same target to a minimum of 10%
  • If 3 feathers connect with an enemy champion they will be rooted

Featherstorm (R)

  • Xayah jumps into the air becoming untargetable (not invincible)
  • After the duration she unleashes 5 feather-blades in a cone dealing physical damage
  • 5 feathers will be left on the ground at maximum range

1055.png - Your standard start on Xayah.
2003.png - Get more on your first few backs, will be 2009.png if you have Secret Stash.
3340.png - Don't forget to buy this before you leave base, change to 3363.png at level 9.

1054.png - The safer start, provides easier last hitting, as well as great sustainability when trading. Would take this if you plan on playing safe.

Core Items

3006.png - Get this when you require more movement speed or after you finish 3508.png.

3508.png - Will give Xayah everything she needs to sustain her abilities with the extra mana, while also providing crit chance for xayahe.png and damage. The CDR will be helpful mid/late game in allowing her to put more feathers on the ground.

3085.png - Provides a lot more AoE in fights and the extra bolts procs with xayahw.png.

3031.png - Provides a huge boost in damage, you may want to consider a situation item or consider skipping this altogether if you feel you need other items.

3033.png - This is great against multiple healers such as 36.png or 106.png.

3036.png - You will get this 99% of the time, it is basically a variant of the old Last Whisper.

Situational Items

3046.png - Works well with xayahw.png allowing her to kite enemies more easily, which is important because she has no escapes. You can exchange this as a core instead of using 3085.png if you feel you need the extra kiting.

3071.png - Great if you need the armor shred and works well with xayahpassive.png.

3072.png - A great item for damage and sustain.

3139.png - Build this if you required 3140.png.

3153.png - As a substitute for 3508.png it allows for more aggression. You will want to use it straight away so try and use the active to help better position your feathers. 3031.png becomes a situational item with this build.

3026.png - Your all round defensive item. Gives you a second life if you take lethal damage.

3140.png - Build when required and turn into 3139.png later.

3156.png - Against AP burst such as 7.png or 105.png.

3047.png - More survivability in exchange for damage, very useful when combined with 3046.png.

Easy

Save xayahr.png to dodge enchantedcrystalarrow.png at level 6. In the lane, always keep Ashe moving around because she has no mobility to dodge xayahe.png. Keep in mind that she can trade well with volley.png so stand behind minions.

VS

Caitlyn

Medium

It will be hard to engage on her because she can caitlynentrapment.png away from your feathers and she has naturally long range so position your feathers in a way where if she wants to play aggressively you can use xayahe.png. At level 6, if you uses caitlynaceinthehole.png you cannot dodge it with xayahr.png if it is locked on; however, if you use it first she cannot target you while you're in the air.

VS

Corki

Medium

Use your feathers to abuse his short range but be careful of his potential burst. If you can root him before he uses carpetbomb.png you will be able to deal a lot of damage. At level 6, there is not much of a power spike but his burst is still dangerous if setup with the right support.

VS

Draven

Hard

Draven will wins head on trades because of dravenspinning.png, so use your feathers and save your xayahq.png to gain a positional advantage so you can land a good xayahe.png for when it is needed. Even if you play everything correctly he may still lose the fight depending on his support. At level 6, you should be able to dodge the first wave of dravenrcast.png but be careful when it returns.

VS

Ezreal

Medium

As long as you position yourself so that he can't hit ezrealmysticshot.png then you should be able to harass him with xayahq.png because of its range. Remember, he can ezrealarcaneshift.png out of your feathers either defensively or offensively so your xayahe.png can't always be used. At level 6, you can use xayahr.png to dodge ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png.

VS

Jhin

Easy

Jhin has no mobility, so you can use your feathers to zone him effectively so he will either have to play passively or risk getting hit by xayahe.png. As long as you do not get hit by jhinw.png in a fight or his 4th bullet, you should be able to win. At level 6, you can use xayahr.png to dodge at least one shot of jhinr.png but he can hold the rest until you become targetable again.

VS

Jinx

Easy

Jinx has short range without jinxq.png activated so try and force her to use mana with Fishbones with your feathers and try not to trade with her until she switches back. At level 6, you can use xayahr.png to dodge jinxr.png.

Q: How does Xayah interact with Rakan? 497.png


A: There are two interactions which are:
  • If either Rakan or Xayah are recalling the other can sync their recall by standing next to each other and activating their own. They will return to base at the same time. 
  • If he is nearby, he will also gain xayahw.png.
  • If Xayah is the target of rakanw.png it will have increased range.

Q: How did I die during Featherstorm? xayahr.png


A: You are not invincible during your time airborne, you become untargetable. From what I have tested this works exactly like Elise's Rappel.

Level 1

  • Use xayahq.png to shove the wave so you can get level 2 first.
  • Don't use xayahq.png  on the second wave.

Level 2-3

  • Once you hit level 2, move forward and use xayahq.png and attack once to setup your feathers for xayahe.png.
  • If the enemy goes on you, do the same thing but position yourself more defensively.
  • When you hit level 3 you will have all of your abilities and can force an engagement.

Level 4-5

  • Continue farming and look to harass with xayahq.png outside of the minion wave.
  • Look for opportunities to use xayahe.png and zone with your feathers.
  • Don't spam this though because you will need at least 230~ mana at level six.
  • Be aware of ganks, this is for previous levels as well, you have no natural escape.

Level 6

  • In most cases, you will want to keep xayahr.png to dodge another ultimate.
  • When you do this you can use also aggressively move forward for damage and feather placement.
  • Sometimes, you can use xayahr.png aggressively to place feathers or deal the finishing blow.
  • Save xayahe.png until you have used xayahr.png, unless you can kill without it.

Level 7-11

  • Once your finish your first major item you can play aggressively with the right support.
  • Save xayahr.png if you are pushing your lane to dodge potential skillshots.
  • As enemy champions around the map reach level six you must be aware of who can come to your lane, whether it can through river, jungle or 12.png. This can happen in the earlier levels too but the danger is higher.
  • Generally, when you reach level 11 most champions hit another power spike but the damage on  xayahr.png is only increased by 50.

Level 12-13

  • Once you reach level 13 xayahe.png will be maxed and your damage will increase significantly when activated, especially if you have two crit items.
  • Try not to be alone because you can still be easily picked off, especially by assassins.

Level 14-18

  • Always use xayahr.png as a defensive tool in team fights, the ability to become untargetable is invaluable.
  • Focus on using as many feathers as possible before using xayahe.png to increase damage output.
  • Positioning is key because no matter how many items you might have you still have no mobility apart from 4.pngxayahr.png will only delay not always save.
